Project 10 Pan – Attempt #1 2011

This is a big step. And one 2 years ago I didn’t think I’d really need.. but I do now. When you click ‘read more’, oh you’ll see more. My little makeup nook. Bursting at the sides. And overflowing.

What is Project 10 Pan? From what I can recall, Laura aka lollipop26 from YouTube wrote about it on her blog here – describing it as ‘It means that I am not able to purchase any cosmetics until I have used up/hit pan on at least 10 items in my current collection.

It can be a foundation, lipstick, lipgloss, blusher, eyeshadow or eyeliner…anything like that…but I have to have completely used it up for it to count.

Once I have used up 10 I can then purchase something.

So with respect to full disclosure.. here is most of my collection (most, as this doesn’t include my skincare items in the bathroom)

Well… what do you think?

Shocked? In awe? Its as organised as it can be – blushes & face products on the right. I have baskets for neutral eyeshadows, and another for ‘the rest’ (nothing too wild & crazy) a little tin full of primers, and cream shadows. A tin full of liners and pencils. A basket of palettes. And so forth.

So.. until I finish 10 products, even beyond ‘hitting pan’ – no more products. Thanks to Caroline and Lauren for the extra kick in the behind! :D

WOW, that is a lot of make up! Good luck on using some of it up! I recently threw out everything in my make up bag that was old or hadn’t been used in as long as I could remember…it was a very satisfying cleanse :)

I know! Its weird. I have this much and I’m not a makeup artist! This should help me ‘shop from my own collection’. If you need to borrow anything.. go ahead! ;)

I think Project 10Pan is great. I don’t have nearly the amount you do yet I have never managed to hit pan in anything…
I applaud you for trying it out, it’s definitely a great way to save money but you might also find a few different combinations you never knew worked together before :)
    Good Luck!

I really don’t think I’ll have any danger of hitting pan on a lot.. I mean, I know my sister has an eyeshadow she’s used for YEARS, its about the size of a MAC pan, yet.. nope. A good dint but yeah. It really gives perspective on buying so many neutral eyeshadows for instance!
