Palmer’s Daily Calming Facial Lotion

Its been a stretch between beauty reviews hasn’t it? To be honest, with feeling a little unwell, and not feeling particularly makeup ready, its also been me wanting to experiment with a little of my own photography considering I do not have a photographic eye. I wanted to pretty it up!

Aside from feeling unwell, I also have adopted a cat – a 10 year old smoochy cat named Butter. (He’s black, and called Butter as his style of smooching is a head butt. Affectionately of course!)

Despite this, I’m mildly allergic to cats, and thankfully as he is short-haired, my allergies aren’t too bad, but early on, and when he gets particularly friendly, my skin acts up, and I get a few splotches and its just a bit unsightly. It always goes away of course – but I’ve been using the Palmer’s Calming Facial Lotion to help out a bit. Definitely sans makeup, but the lotion is made to reduce the appearance of redness and calms irritated skin with the active ingredients here containing chamomile, aloe vera and milk proteins.

The big difference here is that whilst there is cocoa and shea butter present; it isn’t as heavy as the much-favoured body butter, and it is fragrance free. The fact that it doesn’t smell like gorgeous chocolate-vanilla is a downside for me, but I can understand its for sensitive skin that doesn’t favour scented products directly on the face. It definitely lives up to what it states that it does; it calms sensitive and irritated skin, as well as adding moisture and hydration when you need it most. Definitely an inexpensive solution for needy skin.
