If you know me, you know I have a decent collection of dance movies. This does not equate to being *able* to dance. Even if a random stranger suggested I may be good at salsa classes for beginners. Nope. I have no rhythm.
Yet, after buying the Michael Jackson Experience for the Wii – it makes me think I do! I am now suffering dance injuries – sore shoulders, arms and I can only equate it to dancing to a few songs each night on the weekend in order to get more points and ‘gold moves’.
With 27 songs throughout his career, you can dance, fast or slow, and with Michael or his backup dancers with differing levels of difficulty. Its suggested that ‘Thriller’ is ‘inhuman’. I’m not even kidding! Of course, I tried that one first because I want to be Jennifer Garner in 13 Going on 30. It was just such a riot even attempting that dance!
I blame ‘Beat It’ in particular today – that dance is fast, but I feel as if I know it so well, and feel that rhythm. Thankfully, this is behind closed doors, and not on the street with light up steps. (Certainly not enough room in my humble lounge room to rock the moonwalk!)
I wholeheartedly recommend this game – and I for one can’t wait for more players to join me. Hopefully we won’t thwack any ornaments or each other in a Michael Jackson frenzy!
To check out just how I was trying to beat ‘Beat It’ – check out the demo below (thankfully not me!)
