Lady Gaga’s latest video; YOU & I

If anything, Lady Gaga will always be the subject of conversation. She will always puzzle me, that’s for sure if her latest video is anything to go by. (Actually, are any of her videos ‘standard’?) In any case, You & I which is actually probably my favourite song on Born This Way has a video that honestly made me cringe, and wince, yet it only makes me want to watch it more. The song is gorgeously country-fied, and softer than a usual Gaga track, yet this video is HARD, and scary at times (for me). And um. Pairing herself up with a masculine version of herself atop a piano smoking; then kissing herself. What does that signify? Watch for yourself below -

What do you take from this latest offering? I have to say I love this interpretation, and I love the fact that a 6 minute clip can offer SO much, regardless of whether I like it or not.
