In Time; a review

For a movie all about keeping track of time, and the fact that time costs money, and money equals time (and so on and so forth) In Time doesn’t make time seem faster. Though, wait. Just like the characters in the movie, I DID look at the time a few times!
I wanted to like this, the premise was quite unique in my eyes. In a time where time literally cost money, where you stopped ageing at 25 – and so your mother or father could literally just look like your sibling, it seemed ideal.
Except in the case where money still meant that there was a huge division between immensely rich and poor, living day to day, or sometimes with minutes to spare. Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried lead the charge alongside captivating Cillian Murphy as the ‘Time Keeper’ chasing them. Oh, other eye candy includes Alex Pettyfer and BONER. I mean, er Matt Bomer from White Collar. My GOD he is a sexy man. I digress.
It looked gorgeous, but the concept just wasn’t fleshed out in more detail. The world that they were living in just didn’t click with me, and so I didn’t really feel as much for JT as I should have, except for just thinking how pretty he was. Amanda Seyfried, see… I’m convinced that I really don’t like her in any role that she does. Okay, Mean Girls doesn’t count. I just didn’t buy it. At first, she’s intrigued by him, then indignant and embarrassed to be seen with him, then the next second, she’s all Bonnie to his Clyde. Despite the lack of consistency there; the movie just had problems with pacing to top it all off. Just so disappointed with this. I should have known better, right? I can see the judgement in your eyes! :P

Welcome! Did I catch your eye? Pop Couture is an outlet for me, Kimberley to express all the things that light up my eyes at the pretty, at the shiny, make me giggle, make me sputter, basically they make me want to just share it with anyone who will listen (or actually, read)
