I think I’ve had an epiphany during this 30 days of lippy challenge. And from about… day 20 I think it really has been a challenge! Aside from not having certain colours (deep purple) and nothing too bright to be considered ‘the brightest’ in the collection – I’m realising that a lot, a LOT of my lippies, glosses and sticks and balms and butters are all mooostly within the same colour range. I seem to have quite a few plum colours, or those that fall in the peachy/coral family. I’m realising as I take photos to tag on Instagram that hmm, this doesn’t really look all that different to yesterday’s photo. And that even in different lighting, even in a different pose – can I tell the difference between a few days? Not really. I think I’ve reached that turning point. That very important turning point where I realise I don’t need (well, I never ‘needed’ to buy) but I don’t actually want to buy any more lipsticks or lipglosses anymore. I’ve got pa-lenty!
What I’m most grateful for during this challenge has been the bloggers I’ve met, local and international that have also dug into their collections to find some diamonds, or duds. I highly encourage you to click here to go to the original post and check out the other bloggers that have been active during the challenge. Also, search the #30daysoflippy tag on Instagram; as of this post being published, we’ve hit 419 tagged pics. Is that trending or WHAT?!
