This weekend, I’ve caught up on Supernatural, One Tree Hill, and Survivor:Gabon. Wow, post writer’s strike, this fall season has been quite exciting! (And no, I still havent’ seen Heroes, I’ll get to that later.)
Survivor: Gabon ~ She obviously is Post-Op!
My passion for Survivor definitely hasn’t dissipated, I think the past 3 seasons have been so strong, character wise, the fact that Jeff has become more interactive, and being more than a host, saying scripted generic catchphrases. Although Jeff has described her as a ‘crier’ – Sugar is a great survivor already, going to Exile Island, being the cutesy pinup model (with lots of tattoos!) yet being able to find the immunity idol, and talking out loud to motivate herself, and face her fears, confronting emotions, after the recent death of her father. The fact that she cried doesn’t make her annoying, or weak – moreso the fact that she didn’t give up, and she just kept on going in order to the find the Idol only makes her a great threat that nobody will realise. Even Ace, her biggest ally may still only see her as cute model sidekick to his suave British photographer self. I loved the Slip n Slide challenge! Hey, that’s a physical challenge I’d be able to do! And how idiotic was it that Ace flipped himself over twice just cos he could on the way down? What a poser!
I’m thinking GC may be next to go, he doesn’t stop complaining! He wants three meals a day?! And then when they realise the rice is dwindling, and say well let’s cut back.. he says what? I’m suffering, I will suffer without 3 meals.. way to put a target on your back there, G-Sizzle.
And by the looks of next week’s challenge, where they rank the tribe… (wow, its early for the ‘tell us what you really think’ challenge!) I quote ‘Its not lookin’ great for a pimp’.. Fantastic. Survivor is stirring it up, and it will create more of an impact only because these challenges always divide the tribes, and Fang is already so divided, its really a group of individuals living at the same camp.
Check out the link I added in the Blogroll to the right there – Jeff is blogging after each episode, and he’s cheeky, and sarcastic and provides insight from the inside looking out – if you look at the episode 2 blog, he tells Gillian just how annoying she was, wants to provide Sugar with some Kleenex, and has a chuckle at how when Dan shows just how frustrated with himself that he couldn’t find the Idol – they are sure that he has it! You can’t miss the behind the scenes video with Jeff and Dalton Ross from Entertainment Weekly.
Its Jeff cheekily showing how uncomfortable those logs are to sit on, just how close the voting area is to where the Survivors sit, and oh man.. its priceless when he’s walking away from camera - I won’t spoil it for you, just watch!
