Another breathtaking, powerful performance I had to share with you. The Killers were on Letterman and I just love how I’m juuust about to turn off the lights; then bam, Letterman announces the musical guest.

I was suddenly awake (bear in mind, this was just after midnight after the 2009 Budget news pushed everything late). I played the game of ‘What song will they perform?’ as I really didn’t know what they were releasing as a single..Bam. Dustland Fairytale; epic track. And the full orchestra backing them! Plus; the grin on Brandon Flowers’ face as Dave makes a joke about them being discovered at his wedding: GOLD. I couldn’t get a good link to be able to show you that after the performance, when the credits are usually rolling; it went to ad break. When it came back; Letterman was like you wanna get a van? Drive around..tease people? And Brandon’s grinning, saying ’sounds good!’. Priceless.

So, press play, turn it up. I now can’t stop listening to this song.. they are the band that you want to see live (and I have) absolutely makes it all worth it.
