Apologies up front if this is going to be a bit hurried, but I’ve left it til the last minute, and I have to leave in an hour! This list took longer than the others because although I can definitely say I saw more films this year.. I was disappointed by more! There were some movies I missed out on seeing in the cinema that may have made it to the list.. but it would be wrong to put it there right?

My top 10 is as below (in no order!) And no, some of these won’t win Oscars, but they are the ones I enjoyed the most :)

1) Cloverfield

2) The Dark Knight

3) 27 Dresses

4) Wanted

5) Step Up 2

6) The Ruins

7) The Strangers

8 ) Wall-E

9) Camp Rock

10) Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Honestly, there will probably be a follow up post with ‘disappointments’ of 2008, but some include the rotten ‘shouldn’t-have-been-made’ movie that was the X Files: I Want To Believe, there was Tropic Thunder which was not nearly as funny as it could have been, there was Twilight which you already know my thoughts on, and Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I can’t remember a year where I saw so many movies that I was SO excited to see and then, oh. That’s it? That feeling, and the frown, and not so much the giddy post movie glow excitement!
