I thought I’d put together a list of movies I’d rather watch than the latest box office hit – New Moon. Oh wait, ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’. Oh so dramatic. As much as you’d think I’d fall and swoon over RPattz and his characterisation of Edward Cullen. Not so. If you want a refresher – just check out my review of Twilight here.

So, after its midnight release last week, and whilst the fandom continue to rave about how brilliant it is, and whether you’re on Team Edward or Team Jacob; I thought of a few ‘classics’ I’d rather watch before paying any money to see New Moon.

Ah, the first Bennifer.. and Lesbian Jennifer. (In the movie!) But oh, SO torturously bad. Yep. I’d watch it (again!)

The Happening, a movie with a title that is purely a tease.  nothing happens. Though, watch those bushes!

Ah, an 80s classic I’m told. Yep – I’d sit through obscenely gratuitous boobs and girl butt and horny teenage boys in order to avoid New Moon.

Ah Glitter. Was this Mariah’s real downfall? (Though apparently onto bigger and better things with Precious)

That expression on David Arquette’s face is mine if I see someone on the tram reading a copy of Twilight.

And I would really really really be enthusiastic about sitting through this last one (no breaks!) if I had to submit to watch New Moon..

So what other ‘classics’ would you rather see? Kicking and screaming..
